-One full-time student is wanted for this project. The student will conduct hydrology study for the campus, create input files for the EPA SWMM hydraulics model, help the Principal Investigator run the model and analyze the results. S/he is expected to have basic understandings of watershed analysis & hydrology, ArcGIS Desktop/Pro, spatial data digitization, geoprocessing tools, and ModelBuilder. Experience with EPA SWMM is a plus, but not required. The job is posted on the [[https://ung.hiretouch.com/job-details?jobID=33390&job=gis-student-worker-institutional-student-worker-fall-2019|HireTouch]] and open until 10/1/2019. The walkway behind the Science, Engineering & Technology building in the UNG Gainesville campus suffers from flooding from stormwater whenever there is a heavy rainfall event. This project aims to address flooding issues around this building.  We will analyze the vulnerability of the stormwater drainage system in the campus to storm events and predict the highest frequency of storm events (i.e., most often, but smallest rainfall events) that affects the building. We will also discuss how to mitigate this situation by making recommendations on the installation of potential new storm drain manholes and conduits.
